The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has paid a working go to to the Princess Marie Louise Hospital, often known as the Children’s Hospital in Accra.
That is his first official go to to any health facility after his nomination by the President and subsequently confirmed by Parliament. The Health Minister and his delegation have been welcomed to the power by Dr Mame Yaa A. Nyarko, the Medical Director.
Interacting with employees, Hon. Agyeman-Man stated, his workplace acquired complaints from employees, residents of the realm and sufferers of the power concerning the state of the buildings, a few of which have been constructed practically a century in the past.
His go to, based on the Health Minister, was pushed by points concerning the structural integrity of the hospital’s buildings and staffing and wish to have first-hand info on “what is there, what is to be rectified, and how we (Ministry) should facilitate for you to provide service efficiently”.
The Director-Normal of the Ghana Health Service, Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye stated GHS technicians carried out some preliminary structural integrity evaluation of the constructing and had submitted a report.
The Medical Director of the power, Dr Mame Yaa A. Nyarko, stated the hospital had challenges with staffing two years in the past, which resulted in very lengthy ready hours.
