The family of one of the Asuboi accident victims say they have been able to trace the body of their relative, Bernard Kumi, who was a student of UEW.
According to them, Benard was traveling back to campus when the accident occurred on Sunday. The accident claimed the lives of nine and left many others injured.
According to father of the victim, Stephen Damoah Gyan, he received a call that one of his sons was involved in the accident and has passed away.
Mr. Damoah added that he has visited all the hospitals that received the dead bodies, but could not find that of his son.
“On arrival, we were told ten people had been confirmed dead, but we couldn’t identify [Benard] among their mortal remains.
“They made referrals to different hospitals including the Koforidua Regional Hospital and other prominent hospitals, but we still couldn’t find his body. We went to the Police and we were told to keep on searching,” he said.
Also, a search party has visited the accident scene but no information about his son has been gathered. The Police also do not have any information about him.
Mr. Damoah is therefore calling on anyone who has information about his son to assist him.
