A cameraman and a journalist working for Fox News have been killed in Ukraine, staff at the US network say. Pierre Zakrzewski, 55, and Oleksandra Kuvshinova, 24, were killed when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire in Horenka, on the outskirts of Kyiv. Two persons have sustained injuries while over 70 others have been displaced after a heavy downpour swept through Janga in the West Mamprusi Municipality of the North East Region. The severe rainstorm, which started at around 6:00pm on Sunday, destroyed over 50 houses, a school building- Nurul E/A Primary, occupied by students of the Janga SHS and several electricity poles, thereby leaving many houses without electricity. The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) says it has initiated investigations into the road crashes last weekend which resulted in the death of 17 people in separate accidents across the country. A statement issued by the Authority indicated that as part of the investigations, it has scaled up its ‘Stay Alive’ campaign for this year and deployed road safety inspectors at major transport terminals. An Accra Circuit Court has granted an ¢80,000 bail with two sureties to a businessman accused of insurance fraud. In addition, the Court presided over by Mrs Afia Owusua Appiah ordered Thomas Takyi-Bonsu to deposit his passport with the Court’s registry. As part of the Food and Drugs Authority’s (FDA) routine market surveillance activities on food safety in 2021, about 30% of palm oils found on the Ghanaian Market have failed the Authority’s nationwide Zero Sudan IV dye test, an increase from 7.3% in 2018. In October last year, the Authority sampled palm oils from major markets across the country, including 10 major markets in Greater Accra, to test for the presence of Sudan IV dye, leading to several arrests. The Student Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has confirmed that five of its students were among those reported to have died in the road accident at Asuboi on Sunday. The Council, in a statement Tuesday, revealed that the Hyundai Universe commercial bus involved in the crash had 35 registered UEW students on board together with other passengers.
