The Management of Radio Ada has given a chilling account of the attack on the station by some unidentified thugs which occurred on Thursday. According to the External Communications Officer for the station, Julius Odoi, one of the presenters who was brutally assaulted during the attack, has suffered an injury to his eye due to the heavy slaps he was subjected to. A 43-year-old Chinese National whose name has been withheld for security reasons is in the custody of the Nkawkaw Police for accidentally discharging a firearm that hit an eight-year-old boy at Kwahu Apradang in the Eastern Region. According to preliminary investigations from the police, the suspect was repairing the firearm when it accidentally fired towards the direction of the young boy, hitting him in the process. Three persons have been reported dead following a car crash at Ekumfi Ekotsi in the Central Region after a Sprinter bus with registration number GR 6201-21 burst a tyre and crashed into some bystanders. Musah Yussif, 45, has been lynched for sporadically shooting five persons at ‘Agric’, a suburb of Tamale. Mr. Yussif is said to have gone to a funeral ceremony to attack one Kambo Naa. In the process, he rather shot bystanders and injured five of them. Legal practitioner, Francis-Xavier Sosu says he will file a medical malpractice lawsuit against St. Dominic Hospital in Akwatia in the Eastern Region to seek damages over the injury of a year old baby. The Ghana National Fire Service has interdicted five of its officers for their alleged involvement in the disappearance of an amount of GH¢30,000 from an accident scene at Konongo in the Ashanti Region. President Akufo-Addo launched a GH¢6.1 million Police Emergency Medical Intervention Fund at the Police Hospital on Tuesday.
