Nine people have died and dozens are missing after a boat accident in Tanzania. The boat was heading to Panza island from Pemba when the accident happened. The passengers had been due to attend a funeral at Panza. Only six have been rescued alive and are receiving medical attention. A 65-year-old woman has been killed at Adokwai in the Adansi North District of Ashanti Region following a collision between three motorbikes and a tricycle. Others also sustained various injuries in the accident, which occurred on Wednesday. A man detained for setting South Africa’s Parliament in Cape Town on fire was found at the site with explosives, prosecutors have alleged. Zandile Christmas Mafe, 49, appeared in a city court on charges under the Explosives Act, as well as for arson, theft and a break-in. His lawyer said he was innocent of all the charges. An Alabama man was arrested and charged with manslaughter after his wife was fatally hit by a motorist while walking home drunk. Jason Todd, 42, allegedly refused to let his wife, Tanya Anderson, get behind the wheel of her car while under the influence.
