Some 325 persons have died in 1177 road crashes in the Eastern Region within 10 months. This represents an eight percent decrease within the same period last year. In 2021, 357 people were killed. The Police says it has prosecuted the Member of Parliament for Madina, Francis Xavier Sosu for reckless and inconsiderate driving. According to a Facebook post by the Police, the MP was arrested on November 3 after he was spotted driving in the middle of the road around the Airport by-pass in a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 vehicle with registration number GB-9776-21. The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) says chicken and other meat products that are imported into the country are taken through internationally-accredited protocols to ensure they are safe for the Ghanaian market. The KMA Circuit Court in Kumasi has sentenced 26-year-old Robert Sei to six years imprisonment for reckless driving on the Accra-Kumasi road. He was arraigned after his actions that led to the death of one Kwadwo Boateng and the hospitalization of three others. The authorities in Nigeria’s Imo state have been asked to arrest a man who allegedly assaulted and broke the arm of his two-month-old baby. The 31-year-old man is reported to have assaulted his baby with a plastic cloth hanger for disturbing his sleep.
