Research by the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has shown that 48 percent of traffic lights in the Greater Accra Region are non-functional. Areas noted for non-functioning traffic lights in the region include the Okponglo Junction, Shangrila, Kaneshie first light, Mataheko, Odorkor-Hansonic Junction, Kasoa-Tetegu junction. Research conducted by the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) on non-functional traffic signals and streetlights across the country has revealed that 48% of all traffic lights in the Greater Accra Region do not function properly. Five persons have been lynched at Nyinawusu in the Atwima Nwabiagya Municipality of the Ashanti Region after they were accused of being armed robbers. Five persons on board a Toyota Hiace bus have been confirmed dead in an accident at Anyinasin along the Accra- Kumasi highway on Thursday morning. The deceased include three males and two females.
