A group calling itself Friends of Rhoda have besieged the Asokwa District Court in Kumasi ahead of the hearing of a case in which a lecturer at KNUST is accused of kidnapping his wife. Dr Wilberforce Aggrey has been standing trial over the disappearance of his wife, Rhodaline Amoah-Darko, staff at the Lands Commission. On Friday, a fuel tanker exploded at the outskirts of Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown, killing at least 98 people and wounding dozens of others in one of the deadliest accidents in the history of the country in years. Accra Area Manager of the Ghana Railways Company Limited, Ing. Michael Asante, met his untimely death, after he jumped off a moving train and got run over by the train. The unfortunate incident happened when he together with his team were on an inspection tour of the Accra-Nsawam rail line. Three persons including two students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology have died following an explosion that took place on Tuesday 5th of October 2021 at the Juaben Oil Mills in the Ashanti Region. According to reports, nine persons sustained injuries during the accident, four of them whose conditions were critical were sent to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but three were later pronounced dead on Wednesday morning. On Friday, 24 September, 2021, a worker fell from height while working on a container, landed on his head and died instantly, according to reports. The incident got some workers of the Tema Port on Friday evening protesting the death of their colleague, resulting in the police personnel firing rubber bullets to disperse the angry crowd. Road Safety Advocates of Ghana (RoSAG) has issued a press release to commend the effort of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) for demanding positive action from Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assembly (MMDAs) in respect of unlawful use of tricycles.  According to ROGAS, last week, the Authority had issued directives to six municipalities to cease their endorsement of unlawful and unsafe use of tricycles for fare-paying or passenger purposes forthwith.
