An Accra High court has fined the 37 Military Hospital an amount of GHS1,075,000 for medical negligence which resulted in the death of a 27-year-old pregnant woman. A section of the Road between Aiyinase and Menzezor in the Ellembelle district of the Western Region has caved in following the collapse of a culvert after some heavy downpour. The District Chief Executive DCE) of Ellembelle in the Western Region, Kwasi Bonzo has blamed the sudden collapse of the 67-year-old Aiyinase to Menzezor culvert on a two-day rainfall recorded in the area over the weekend. At least two persons are feared dead after a ‘trotro’ crushed into a faulty trailer parked in the middle of the road at Tesano. The accident which occurred around the Tesano Police station is believed to have happened around 4:30 am, Wednesday. Another road traffic accident has just occurred at Inchaban barrier in Takoradi, where a truck carrying cement is reported to have lost its brake and crashed into nearby houses killing 1 person on the spot. The national emergency service comprising the Police, Ambulance and the Ghana National Fire Service are at the scene of the accident to attend to the situation.
