Deaths from Road traffic crashes have now reached 771 persons in 3 months, surpassing the death toll from the COVID-19 pandemic since March 2020. The Motor Traffic & Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service gave this shocking revelation. DB Cargo has been fined £200,000 after pleading guilty to an offence under the Health and Safety at Work Act for failing to protect the safety of its workers following an incident at its Dollands Moor freight yard in 2018. Health and Safety Professionals in Ghana are calling on the government to Pass the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Bill. A petition being championed by Just Commit Foundation to present to Parliament as a call to action has received over 1,000 votes from health and safety professionals in Ghana.
