On Monday, February 5, 2024, a truck collided with a minibus, or trotor, on the Amasaman-Nsawam stretch of the N6 highway in Greater Accra, allegedly resulting in seven fatalities.
It is said that three more people made it out of the mishap.
The minibus driver is reported to have slowed down at a potholed section of the road because of the ongoing reconstruction of the Pokuase-Nsawam section of the N6 highway.
However, the truck that was speeding after it was unable to slow down as well.
Witnesses claim that the vehicle struck the minibus [trotro] from behind, killing all of the occupants.
When rescuers extracted the victims from the wrecked car, they were unconscious.
